Since he began his journey as a computer engineer and an average golfer to the professional ranks, Jaacob has been filmed for the 90-minute feature film, “Chasing the Dream”. Not only have the films’ producers followed Jaacob’s golf journey but they have also had him record personal video diaries, documenting his experience, along the way. From Hawaii, Venice Beach, Pebble Beach, and the Grand Canyon all the way across the country to Florida, Mississippi, and New York, Jaacob has crisscrossed the US competing in tournaments and chasing the dream. Recent golf events have taken him to Kenya, Africa where he played next to giraffes and monkeys and throughout historic European cities in Scotland, England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Turkey. Every day he gets closer and sees more of the world while he’s at it.
To keep the dream alive Jaacob’s overcome physical setbacks, such as a 2005 concussion, and picked up various jobs on movie sets, golf courses, ranches, and offices - working in anything from engineering, sales, marketing, to golf instruction and yard maintenance. Though the film has enough footage to tell a great story, the producers would really like to finish this story by showing Jaacob making it to the top… playing on the PGA Tour, European Tour, and/or qualifying for the 2010 British Open at St. Andrew’s and US Open at Pebble Beach.

To make it these last few steps, Jaacob must be 100% committed and devoted to playing full-time. Most successful pro golfers on the major Tours receive financial assistance from companies, small support groups, and family and friends to help cover the initial costs of going to and from tournaments week in and week out until they advanced through qualifying. Jaacob, however, has chosen a different route by developing a unique Fan Club, where people like YOU are an integral part of the journey and can share in the experience of getting to the PGA Tour with Jaacob.

- VIDEO DIARIES: Jaacob will post regular video diaries of his experience in various tournaments, golf events, and training. You will share in the experiences on the road and get an inside look at what its like to travel the world competing on the professional circuits. These videos will give you an intimate peak into the professional golf journey. When Jaacob makes it to the top, you’ll be there with him.
- VIDEO GOLF TIPS: Jaacob will provide you with regular golf instructional tips, insights, and advice. For example, he’ll discuss the latest equipment he’s using and/or testing, share the Tour yardage books, and discuss ways to evaluate your round performance.
- GOLF INTERVIEWS: Jaacob’s exposure to the golf community means he is constantly meeting top players, coaches, and other interesting people in the golf world. Jaacob will use this access to do short interviews to share with the Fan Club community.
- Q & A SESSIONS: Have a question or want Jaacob to explain and demonstrate golf technique? Email your questions and Jaacob will respond with video answers to your questions.
- DISCOUNTS: As a fan club member you will receive 25 % discount for in-person private lessons and video lessons. During his travels Jaacob will email the Fan Club community to let you know where he’ll be in case you’re in the area and able to meet up.
- CHASING THE DREAM: As a fan club member you will be listed in the final movie credits for the “Chasing the Dream” movie (only applicable to Fan Club members of one year or more).
