Jaacob Bowden has always had a love of sports and fitness. As a child Jaacob dreamt about playing in the NBA or MLB. Although he played NAIA Division II basketball and was invited to a tryout at the Metrodome for the Minnesota Twins, after college Jaacob thought any aspirations to become a Professional Athlete were gone and he began working as a computer engineer in St. Louis and Kansas City.

In 2003, uninspired in his daily work and realizing that playing golf gave him tremendous satisfaction, Jaacob traded in his corporate career to pursue the dream of becoming a Professional Golfer. This journey has since taken Jaacob from being an average golfer who typically drove the ball 220-275 to scratch golfer and long-drive champion.

While Jaacob continues to grow and improve as a player, he has made considerable strides in a relatively short amount of time. He won the Pinnacle Distance Challenge with a televised drive of 381 yards and hit a grid-record 421 drive at a RE/MAX World Long Drive Local Qualifier in Temecula, California. He has also played in and made cuts in numerous professional tournaments in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Whether or not Jaacob ends up playing on the PGA Tour or European PGA Tour is still to be determined, but in the interim he is enjoying working on his game, training and teaching others (from beginners to European and PGA Tour players) in person and over the internet, and expanding his knowledge of golf, swing speed, and fitness.
